OK, guys. Here we go again. I just bought the AUTO ATLANTA 'Euro Turn Signal conversion assembly', which is a set of two bulb holders made from stock aluminum sheeting and bent to (supposedly) conform to the lower section of the US type turn signal assembly housing. After quite a bit of trying to make them fit, I finally gave up and am turning to the forum (once again) to find out exactly what's going with this supposedly "...easy conversion set that has satisfied thousands of Auto Atlanta purchasers"...?

It's pretty clear that however they are supposed to 'easily fit' the turn signal housings, they absolutely do not. Any help with this annoying matter would be most appreciated. Frankly, I'm starting to get a teensy bit irritated with some of the items I've gotten from AUTO ATLANTA (including a pricey replica 914GT double grill engine cover that was rather hastily and sloppily put together), recently.

Nuff sed, but any insights on this would be helpful...

Those euro turn signal kits have been available for years and never heard of any issues with them. maybe post some photos showing what issues you are having
Also i too have purchased a GT engine lid from a different supplier and was equally disappointed. Then i realized that the replica engine lids are not up to the standards that we are building street cars to today they were hastily thrown together race car parts.
Just a bit of perspective.
Good luck

With all due respect, George, I am not impressed with his (Patrik's) work if this is an example. The items in reference would not fit the turn signal housings without some significant cutting away of excess metal. It's frustrating, since they are listed as 'an easy fit, etc., etc.' I did in fact cut away some of the sheet aluminum on both sides but they are still an imprecise fit. I eventually decided to order a pair of your pre-AUTO ATLANTA wired Euro-type front turn signal housings (order placed today) so as to simplify my time/effort expended.

I may do just that, YellowPorky, but right now I can't take the time to carry that task through. Perhaps when I have a moment to do so, I'll take some images and post them here, as you suggest. Since the interior of the turn signal housings are of a highly polished sheen, glare is a problem when taking snap-shots of these housings (evidence most images of them used even by retail sellers of them, which are usually tough to discern details on, for this reason). Thanks for the suggestion.

You could always go LED and just drop these boards in. No cutting, no crimping.

And you can actually see them. Spoke LED’s are the way to go.

I confess I did consider that LED system, since they are VERY visible (and that's the whole point of turn signals (especially when you are only 48 inches tall, so to speak and surrounded by big, mean hunks of pickup and SUV metal!). However, I thought I'd try to stay with the OEM type system (perhaps a mistake, upon further thought). We'll see how things go once the new housings arrive.

I do note that there was some comment about having to match the LED boards electrical feed on one's car at their website but I forget what the specific context of that comment was at the moment.

If you have any questions about installing, Jerry/Spoke not only sells the product, he developed and built it. He knows all the tips and tricks to make it work.

I have Jerry's (Spoke) LED's in all of my lights. Literally took me 30 minutes to install all of them and be done. No install issues at all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I was tinkering with this project a month or two back.

If you continue to get a product you don't like, I can sell you a laser cut, CNC press braked part.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Also a no impact change that can be reversed in minutes should you want to go back to full stock.

Wondering how good the alloy is as a reflector ? ,the shitty cheap plastic ones that AA and Camp 914 used to sell had no reflector ,my set got binned for that reason, this one wire type will need to be a good fit so they earth properly to the housing , I would suggest a separate earth wire would sort it that's what I did .
Got mine from a vender member on here but don't think he makes the parts anymore but my pic shows a proper reflector and fitted easy and worked 100%, the only thing I did was to drill the light housing to fit the cast in pins of the housing ,these units are a tight push fit into the housing ,nice and bright during the day which is big safety consideration IMO.
IMO this guy made the best handmade units around as attachment to shows.

Martin (last name I don’t recall) use to make an awesome setup but I believe his wife made him stop selling them. I have them in my car and they work great. Though spokes fronts would be awesome alternatives

@mb911 Ben - His name is Martin Baker (no relation to me!) and I, too, had his light housings. Super nice.
I also can't say enough about Spoke's LEDs. I run those in my LS car, front and rear, and believe them to be the best, safest way to go.

@Jezibel
Could you show a couple of pictures of how you were having issues with the fitment? Maybe some adjustment is necessary.
