I have a hex bar linkage and I want to install a CSP linkage. Do you think I can reuse my existing throttle cable bracket and cable? The orientation/angle appears like it should work, but wanted to check because I figure someone else has done this before.

Thanks!

Bryan

Think you will be fine ? if not you could modify the one you have if the cable is too long ,
I used one on my last build but it was a generic Chinese copy ,replaced the crappy loose joints with CB Performance ones ,never found twin carbs SO easy to setup on a T4 .
Cheers.

I have several hex bar setup's on the shelf, not happy with that configuration. I fabricated a simple bell crank and have not looked back. Got some ends from Pegasus, threaded rod from the corner hardware store and some bits laying around my shop.

I didn't need to reuse any hardware from my existing linkage with Tangerine's bell crank linkage.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a go. I have a spare throttle cable and could always flip the bracket if needed too.

Can anyone with CSP linkage to dual Weber's please post pics?... the pics on the directions they sent aren't clear.

1. It looks like the directions say to remove the idle speed screw but doesn't say put it in the front of the carb, is the set up solid enough to only need one idle speed screw?

2. I have the linkage bars to each carb in the most direct lines.... I would have to put the gas pedal in the rear targa compartment to accelerate.... Sumting wong

3. #1 and #3 plug wires in the way

Do I install the linkage bars with the carbs full open then close them?.... then install throttle cable, return spring etc?

I think you need to rotate the bell crank 180 so the cable connection is on the other side and in the middle of the case half’s. The way you have it the cable when pulled would try to close the throttle plates. Then sync the carbs at idle with linkage unhooked from bell crank using a snail gauge. Next adjust the rods so they bolt to bell crank without moving it when you drop the bolt through the bracket ends and install the nut. That should get you close and you can then re sync the carbs by fine tuning the rod length on the side without the idle screw with both jam nuts loose on the ends. I think I got mine really close that way and only had to adjust the one rod on one side maybe a half turn or less to get the carbs in perfect sync. You can adjust one rod with it idiling and hear it smooth out when they sync. Then check it at higher RPMS with a snail gauge to make sure it is good at higher RPMS. Hope that helps that is the best I can explain it. Maybe someone else will chime in with a better method.
