Thinking about selling my /6 shell Options

I have no idea if there's a market for a bare shell that had a lot of work done to it.

Where would one even start to put a price on something like that?

Sorry to hear that; I totally get it though. It is a whole lot of work and that means $$$$ to get these chassis right before restoration. Hopefully one of our members will step up and take that project on so that Six can once again be on the road. You are lucky, you have a car with a killer engine that just runs and runs. Price it at $Xxx and slowly reduce the price until you get nibbles. If it doesn’t need any more bodywork, I’m guessing $15-20k. If it still needs metal work, $10k.
But that’s just my off the cuff thoughts. I don’t have the stomach for anymore big projects so I’m not enthusiastic about a bare chassis.

It's a tough spot, lots of time and money have gone into it, but most of it to get back to square one. You find yourself having a strange conversation when you sell a car like this, where a buyer looks at it and starts saying all the things the car will need, and you respond with "you should have seen it before". Basically fixing major rust or structural metal repairs doesn't math when selling the car. It's like you don't get points for wearing pants to work, it's just expected. Same with basic solid metal, people just expect it and have no idea the time, effort, and money it has taken to get it where it is. It's not flashy like building an expensive engine or a nice paint job, those people will see the value of the dollars you put in, metal work, not so much.
My advice would be, if you're not in a hurry, is put what you think is a pretty high price on it and wait. There is a guy out there with either a 6 clone, or already has an engine waiting for a car, this would be a perfect car for him. He's out there, it just might take awhile to find him.

The most truthful part was that you don’t get points for wearing pants to work. I wish someone would have told me that sooner. Seems like good advice as well.

New front trunk floor. New front suspension points. New full floor pans. New longs (outers haven't been installed).

To be completed: Pass front wall behind dash needs to be finished. Front suspension needs some more work. Pass door pillar needs to be reinstalled. Then some final alignment tweaks (wholly undetermined at this point) if the doors/roof/lids don't quite line up.

I could finish the body reconstruction, but doubt I will be able to complete the whole resto. I'm not in the shop full time anymore, so progress will be slow.

Long story short, I think you're both stuck with it until the chassis is whole.

The next guy having the freedom to do restore it however he wants is a bonus in my book.

Well it's good to know someone has a Celette Bench that is uglier then mine!

But seriously, I would take this a little farther before trying to sell it, best bet would be a roller, even a roller enough to get onto the trailer. Selling a car like this is tough. Which is a shame because it's a cool car and you shouldn't have to take a hard hit to move it.

Sir Andy, if you can and McMark is willing, I would try to chip away at the project until the metalwork is done. Then reassess.
