I have problem with idle fluctuation and want to replace head temp sensor on 2.0L. Can sensor be removed without removing right side intake? Looks like tight fit and wanted others opinion.

Certainly worth sacrificing a no name deep socket.

A too lean mixture can cause a hunting idle. If you have the adjustment knob on your ECU and haven’t tried adjusting already, try turning it clockwise a click or three.

Thank you for the answers to my reques. Head temp sensor has been ordered. Should be here by Tuesday. Tried to find the right size socket. Not sure if it’s 17 mm. Can you tell me what size I should be looking at?

Another way to make a tool is to grind one corner of a 3 inch cheap extension

Pass the wire through the 13mm socket and through the ground corner of the extension
