I ran across three things in our rear trunk that seem unusual. Perhaps they are DAPO mods. Can anyone confirm?
1. What appears to be a ground strap 2. A clip at the bottom of the trunk lid 3. Small rubber grommet from the firewall. Thank you. ![]() |

Could 1. be a ground to eliminate noise on a cb radio? and 3 be the cable passthru Kevin None of those are 'stock', but this could be a likely explanation. #1 provides a better ground connection/plane for the back trunk lid. #2 clips the antenna cable when the lid is opened #3 is the antenna cable passthru from the engine compartment. Cable likely run thru the tunnel into the cockpit. Antenna probably a clamp on, or even magnetic base that attached to rear lid. Pretty common 30+ years ago, Unless you are going for full factory stock/concours, I would leave them alone. Shows that PO put some effort into it. |
