What is the best way to separate CV joints from the transmission flange? Mine are really stuck. Sharp putty knife and a hammer? The CV joints are from PMB and no gasket was used, just sealer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Yup, putty knife. Sometimes tapping on the side of the CV Joint with a soft-faced mallet can break the "sticktion".

I rotate the axle until the roll pins are in thec12 and 6 o'clock position then hit the axle shaft to start the cv to break loose from the flange. Or drive a screw driver blade thru the gasket to start it to break loose.
