I just got back from the museum and saw the car and wondered what it would sound like. Amazing. Those Weber's are popping though.

MFI i believe. full race 908 engine. way more evil than webers? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

think the old man's silver job got carbs to calm it down enough for going to the shop.

the world is a lesser place without the evil genius of dr. piech.
graduate of ETH - a mighty fine technical university.
he only ever made one mistake, trying to replace the beetle with a mid engined shopping cart. and never made the same mistake again.

i can't have a 914/8 but lately my thoughts have turned to an audi quattro.
do i have enough time left on the planet to get hold of one.
rare as hens teeth in north antarctica.
like the 914 never officially came here.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

but we all have his first production street car.
straight from the master's mind.
numero uno.
style is everything. original style that is. where the solution to the problem is derived from technology, not historical aesthetics.
he is the automotive equal to mies van der rohe the german architectural genius.

thanks for the clip @JeffBowlsby .
made my day.
