DC is liquidating and shutting down. I was there yesterday and he has a bunch of 914 stuff, bodies, parts, lots of stuff. Give Rob a call if you need anything.

I haven't talked to Rob in a while but we used to buy and sell a lot of parts to him and I'd go down to his facility about once a month. Hopefully he's making money cashing out and doing well.
He never had many 914 parts but we did a lot of business on other stuff. |

Gotta believe that DC shutting down is some kind of reflection on the market, particularly early air cooled.
I think the demographic popularity for these cars has peaked. Number of Old guys who want them is declining and those who want them and can afford it have them. There is still some demand, but not like it was 10 years ago. Younger generation is all about water pumpers. Not being critical, it’s just the inevitable way of demographics. IMHO, YMMV etc etc. |
