Shipping out a case and crank, coast to coast Options

what is the best way of doing this?
I have shipped a 915 transmission before with great results
(wooden crate bolted to the floor )
but thinking this needs a bit more finesse

For the case, I wrap it in a harbor freight moving blanket, line a 27 gallon plastic crate (yellow/black big box store) with a lot of cardboard, drop in case, more cardboard on top, zip tie shut.
Crank - Best is to use box from previous crank shipment but I've sent a couple in plastic crated and a couple in double boxed cardboard. I just moved my shop to a location with a machine shop across the street and they polished a crank in a day for $40 so hopefully I won't have to ship too many cranks anymore.
The 27 gallon plastic crates are my go-to for a lot of machine shop shipping but since our normal machinist is about 2 1/2 hours away and heads and cases can cost so much to replace, many times me or one of my guys will drive to the shop and pick up a batch of parts. Lat month I picked up two cases, two cranks and three sets of heads. Just the labor bill was probably around $10K so if any of that stuff was damaged or missing, it would have been a pita. Don't count on insurance to protect you. I buy it but it doesn't usually work in reality.
