Looking for advice on what to use to glue broken and cracked rear acrylic taillight lenses from my 1974 914. They are original Hellas and I would like to keep them.
Thanks for the help ![]() |

I’ve used superglue. Worked great. A little goes a long way.

I’ve used superglue. Worked great. A little goes a long way. Super glue is available is several viscosities, I have used it for years in my woodturning. The medium thickness would be best for this job, the thin is hard to keep in place while drying and doesn't fill gaps. . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) |

i have had problems with thin super glue for things like this. i have no experience with the thicker variety
i have repaired my tail lights using clear epoxy, assuming that the pieces line up |

I’ve used superglue. Worked great. A little goes a long way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I used 2 types of superglue. Really thin to get in all the cracks and crevasses. Then gel type to fill in the voids. Thin coat after thin coat until the cracks are filled. Works like a champ. |

not to dismiss all the previous comments, but they are sounding a bit more like epoxy

Have any of you tried the UV activated glues? I wonder how that would do here? It's like superglue, however it hardens with a special UV light.
