A rare thing nowadays but I just got an alert that two 914's have been added to the Pick-N-Pull San Jose yard, a '73 and a '75. Not much info, links below. I'm not going to be able to make it out there but I want to make sure anyone in the San Jose area is aware. If you do get out there be sure to get the VINs for the database.

My office is like 9 miles from this place... I should get off my ass and get these vins!

This reminds me that there is another bright metallic green 914 about 3 miles from my house that's been listed on CraigsList and Marketplace for a while. It is listed as a 73 in the title, a 74 in the ad, but the car has 75 and later bumpers and 75/76 steel wheels on it. It's a rolling shell and the seller has dropped the price so many times, it's almost free at this point. Something tells me it's a 76 which is why it's not selling. If it were a 75 or older, it would make a great candidate for a GT Clone. I should at least go harvest the vin on that one...

I will let you know if I get inspired to go look at these three local cars and grab the vins.

Ted

Added to the VIN database.

1.8 liter motor still in the '75. Frunk lid usable in '73, maybe some caliper cores, not much else other than some potential sheet metal.
