I am having trouble finding photos of where these hoses terminate.
1. Does the one that branches off the oil filler neck go to the T / backfire grid on the air cleaner? No clamp at the air cleaner end?
2. Does the one above the relay panel go to the case breather lid? No clamp at the case lid end?

Thank you.

Hose off the oil filler neck goes to the case breather lid.
Hose over the relay panel goes to the air cleaner or oil catch can.

Not sure what the caption means.
All three are 914 6 parts.
The one in the middle is part of the oil tank vent hose. It sits right near the
left rear lid hinge.
The other two go from the bottom of the tank to the J tube on the bottom of the
oil cooler
The 45 degree one is attached to the tank.
The 90 degree one attaches to the hose from the cooler
In the picture both have severed nipples threaded onto the male ends

The hose ends are for angle comparison ,,I know where they go... You can see how they shoved the hose on the short end and created a less than 90... Thats all ,, use the proper hose ..
Posting things was a challenge this morning..

Interesting, the below Porsche 914 Factory Workshop manual pages indicate the engine crankcase breather hose goes to the oil tank and the oil tank filler breather hose goes to the air filter.

Appologies.
I agree about the incorrect length/shape of the vent tube.
The hose can not be properly seated on the short side and often gets frayed by
contact with the hood hinge.
A nice equal length 90 would be ideal.

Hello - My vote is for the 200-S in the center, I have been thinking about them myself. It would be a choice seldom seen on a 914. You probably already know this, but they are still available from American in custom sizes and bolt circles.

Second for me is the mesh on the left - they always look great on a 914. Looking forward to seeing the final choice.

Right,, But there 7s.. fit like 8s.. The BBS wheels are 930 built in spacers, 8.5 & 10.0..
widest wins.. I had 13x7 200S wheels on my 64 Turbo Corvair Spyder..

Thanks for the side track appreciation.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Thanks for this. I completely overlooked that diagram. It appears to confirm the setup I suggested in the original post.

I don't quite understand why you'd have an oil hose connected to an air cleaner, but so be it.
