For those who don’t know Hagerty is beginning to auction off the first lot of the Carl Hens collection located in Corry Pa.

https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace/collect...orts-collection

There are now several videos on YouTube about this collection

https://youtu.be/VTBFn9ltrys?is=OOvnEa1_BJ2hCxZd

I’ve known Carl for some years and have seen the collection in person. It is indescribable

Carl really likes 914 sixes and has several and an incredible collection of six parts

Check it out.

Typical PCA, walks right past all the 914 cars, not even a glance.

Some things never change.

For those who may bid and hope for a bargain be aware of the minimum $500 auction fee.

Fuch that.

As a reminder, auction lots on Hagerty Marketplace carry a bidder’s premium that is 7% of the final sale price, $500 minimum. In addition, applicable Georgia sales tax (7%) will be collected on non-vehicle purchases after an auction, unless the buyer qualifies for an exemption.

Yup. The yellow flared 914 is a dead-ringer for my car, would have liked to have learned about it.

If you click on the link to the auction of the first lot of stuff you will see three 914’s for sale. One is a six. The two others are conversions. All are project cars at some level. You will also see some early back pads and some very cool what look like NOS Scheel seats. The ones made specifically for the 914

These are not the cream of Carls crop and I don’t love Hagerty’s presentation, but it is how it is being done for now.

If all of Carl’s stuff hits the market at one time I suspect it will clog the air cooled market. He has about 50,000 square feet of pretty throughly organized stuff from floor to ceiling and somewhere around 50 cars including a prototype 911 and that sort of thing. Most are generally complete but not concourse queens.

Lots of parts!!!!! Some of it pretty unobtainium. Lots of engine stuff including bins of newly plated hardware.

Pretty crazy really.
