After a lifetime (I'm 72...) of lusting after Lotus Elevens – I saw one being used as a daily driver when I was 8 or 9 years old back in 1962/63– i finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Westfield XI, a pretty accurate recreation of the original design, powered by a 1275cc MG Midget engine. It weighs around half what a stock 914 does... Probably the most attention-grabbing car I've ever owned... Sure is fun to drive!

To show how low it is, this my friend's VW Up GTI, the smallest car currently offered by VW...

That's terrific. It must be a hoot to drive and be seen in.

Beautiful! Congratulations! Seeing yours brings back memories. Seeing them racing as a teenager and my first sports car was a 1275cc MG Midget.

Reminded me of my dad and the times we had together working on his cars when I was a kid.

He owned 3 Austin Healy Sprites. His Mark IV Sprite had a 1275cc motor in it like your new ride. Which turned out to the first or second motor we ever rebuilt.

Very nice Keith. I like that "cockpit" feel that it has. You don't sit in it; you wear it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
