Can anyone recommend a reputable shop to replace the 1-2nd gear synchros on my side shift trans in the sSocal area? KCR in Riverside 951-850-8559 Thanks, what was your experience with them? I have not personally used them but heard mixed reviews from those who have. Most shops want to fix what exer is wrong if you wantvany kind of warranty. Until you open the box you don't know. I would call Rancho transaxle. They are a little closer and have a solid rep. |

Open it up and the entire box is worn out. When you are doing it yourself, it’s not a big deal if you have to go in two years later. If you are paying for a rebuild, you don’t want to have to pay 2x. |
