I am changing out the gauges in my center console. Don't need a clock but do want oil pressure and cylinder head temp. Oil temp exists as does voltage. Is there a spare wire I can use for the oil pressure sender to the gauge. The temps will use their own wire. Engine is 2.0 carbureted.Kweiswurm@itm-texas.com

I ran new lines - you'll need to for the CHT anyway. I pushed thru the speedo boot and hole.

Adding some nuance

If you are adding a single pole oil pressure gauge only and intend to get rid of the idiot light the wire is already there.

If you want to run a VDO dual pole oil pressure sender you’ll need another wire for the oil pressure signal.

Be aware that the dual pole pressure senders tend to have the low pressure idiot light set higher than the OEM 914 oil pressure sender and as a result, the dual pole senders may cause idiot light flicker at idle when hot. Just so you know what to expect.

Superhawk996

thanks for that input.

fyi

i have been running a vdo dual sender for many years and have not experienced the flicker that you described.

could be that the quality on new senders are not as good?
